By means of a resolution of the Board of the Cracow branch of the Association of Polish Architects the existing biennale has been transformed into a Triennale, which will constitute its successor.
The XI International Triennale of Architecture will take place in Cracow ftom the 8th to the 22th of April 2009. The main exhibitions will take place at Bunkier Sztuki (the Art Bunker) in Cracow. The opening of the Triennale will be on the 8th of April at 6 p.m. at Bunkier Sztuki. This will be Easter Wednesday, when the preparations for Easter will overlap with this festival of architecture constituting the pinnacle of the array of works and workshops conducted beforehand. The opening of the Triennale will be ceremoniously modest designated for Cracow circles.
The great ceremony for the Triennale of Architecture will take place on Friday the 16th of April. This will be the oportunity for the presenting of prizes, the Grand Prix, the Public's Prizes and many others. During the week between the two ceremonies there will take place vernissages and workshops of the accompanying exhibitions.
